I have helped some friends create extra space in the backyard with a simple structure to use as an office. Especially during the pandemic these became exceedingly popular but even after as families grow that extra bedroom is being used for its original intent. We have created a nice light space where you can get your work done in peace and quiet.
We have also built some ADU’s, but my favorite was probably my own home gym with a bifold door, sunlight shining in and a view over the valley. We included a rotating wall so the kids can sit outside on a warm evening and watch movies with their friends and keep the popcorn and soda on the outside of the house instead of inside. Parents will certainly know why this is a benefit and what I mean.
Harder and harder to stay in shape, if you have the space we can build you a gym.
We built the unit on a steel frame so in case it needs to be moved it can be. The bifold door really opens it up for fresh air, great view and sunlight.
Great way to spend time with the kids and tire them out or prepare them for whatever sports they participate in.
A nice little backyard office for focused time away from the kids. A place to be productive or sneak away for some meditation or yoga.
We wanted to make sure that we had a convenient entryway and lots of light through windows
Get organized and enjoy a beautiful view while working.
My wife’s art studio in southern Sweden
Part of the dream project, building an art studio for my wife. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen her so happy. Lot of coordination when you’re building in another country.
Outside looking in, it’s a beautiful space in the middle of mother nature’s lush fold.
After we finished the James Hardie siding on the home, this client decided he wanted to add a backyard office with a fireplace and bathroom.
Due to space constrictions, we did a curved staircase, which also complements the curve of the structure.
Came out super nice and he has a lovely view from his desk.
