Having built and operated my own restaurant, kitchens have always been very interesting to me. Every family’s needs are slightly different, it always seems like the kitchen is where everything happens. Design, surfaces and layout needs to reflect the priorities and needs of the head chef in the family but also take into account what an important gathering space it is for family and friends.
We are happy to build the kitchen you have designed, and we are also happy to help with the design if needed.
This client was looking for a modern look and also wanted to open up the kitchen to the family room.
We researched removing the posts and beams and found they were not structural, simply a design feature and we could therefore safely remove the posts. The existing pantry wasn't an efficient storage option for the clients, so replaced the existing U shaped shelving and replaced them with pull out drawers that utilized cabinet depth to make the wall flow without any interruptions.
This project was for a friend and client. She inherited this house and wanted to update the kitchen and bathrooms before moving in. As you can see from these pictures, this kitchen remodel completely changed the look and lighting of this home.
This was a dated kitchen in a rental unit. Due to the soffit, the upper cabinets were to low to the counter top, restricting the work and creative space for all those fun meals. This kitchen needed some updating with brighter colors and a little revamp of the design.
For the demo I brought in my wife who needed some therapy. You can see who wields the bigger hammer in this family.
I think you can see how much more light and space became available with shorter upper cabinets and the continuous countertop instead of tile creates a space that is much easier to clean.
This was a fun project, as we took an old kitchen and needed to move some things around. There were three kids in the household, and we needed to make the eating area more efficient while keeping the access open to the backyard and the barbeque. For this we created a bench seat and installed a 5-foot-wide barn door, allowing us more seating in a space saving design and to have a full 5-foot wide barn door to the backyard.
The head chef and head of household, in this case, Mom, would rather have a gas range facing the kitchen, versus an electric facing away from the kitchen into a blank wall. At the same time, she wanted an opening to be able to communicate with her kids as they are doing their homework, projects and arts & crafts at the dining room table.
